Refuse shall be placed in the provided cans and recycling in the provided blue bins. <strong>Please keep trash containers covered and blue bin recyclables secure on windy days! <\/strong>Note the following important rules:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font_8\">There will be only one stop per parcel.<\/li>\n<li class=\"font_8\">Bulk items (e.g., household furniture, bedding and mattresses, etc.) may also be placed at the curb for collection.<\/li>\n<li class=\"font_8\">White goods, (e.g., refrigerators, stoves, etc.) will be picked separately. State law requires all doors be removed from refrigerators and freezers.<\/li>\n<li class=\"font_8\">Auto parts, including tires are not collected.<\/li>\n<li class=\"font_8\">Furnaces are not collected.<\/li>\n<li class=\"font_8\">Carpeting will be collected. It must be tied in bundles, no longer than 6 feet, no heavier than 50 lbs.<br \/>\n<hr \/>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5 class=\"font_8\">How is service obtained and what does it cost?<\/h5>\n<p class=\"font_8\">For residents that live outside the Village of Scottsville and that are located in a designated Town\u00a0of Wheatland refuse collection district, refuse collection service is automatically provided, financed by a usage fee included\u00a0in the general property tax bills.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 class=\"font_4\">Service Schedule<\/h5>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Town of Wheatland refuse districts are currently serviced on Tuesday, holiday schedule below:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"font_8\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_8\">New Year\u2019s Day \u2013 If holiday falls on either Monday or Tuesday, service is delayed one day.\u00a0 If holiday falls Wednesday \u2013 Sunday, there is no change and service will occur as usual.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Memorial Day \u2013 Service delayed one day this week.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Independence Day \u2013 If holiday falls on either Monday or Tuesday, service is delayed one day.\u00a0 If holiday falls Wednesday \u2013 Sunday, there is no change and service will occur as usual.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Labor Day \u2013 Service delayed one day this week.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Thanksgiving \u2013 No change to normal schedule.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Christmas Day \u2013 If holiday falls on either Monday or Tuesday, service is delayed one day.\u00a0 If holiday falls Wednesday \u2013 Sunday, there is no change and service will occur as usual.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 class=\"font_8\">Inquiries or Concerns<\/h5>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Individuals with concerns about residential refuse collection may call the Town Clerk&#8217;s Office at (585) 889-1553.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What services are provided?
