Important Update<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Town Board has increased the Senior Tax Exemption income limit<\/strong>\u00a0from 37,400 to <\/span>58,400,<\/strong> allowing more senior homeowners to qualify.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

You may qualify for Senior Tax Exemption if you meet all the following requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You are 65 years of age or older by December 31, 2026<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You own and live in the home as your primary residence<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Your combined household income (owners and spouses), based on your 2024 Federal Adjusted Gross Income, is under 58,400 for properties in the Town of Wheatland.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Application Deadline<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A completed application must be submitted to the Town Assessor\u2019s no later than March1, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
